Why This Blog Exists
I created theQSECOFR blog to share practical insights and technical knowledge related to enterprise security, IBM i security architecture, and data protection strategies.
Many organizations continue to rely heavily on IBM i systems to run core business operations such as banking systems, financial applications, and large enterprise workloads. Despite their importance, discussions around IBM i security architecture, encryption strategies, and access control risks are often limited.
Through this blog, I aim to:

About the Author
Hi, I’m Sameera Wijayasiri (MBA, M.Sc., B.Sc.), a cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure professional specializing in IBM Power Systems, IBM i, IBM i security, and data protection technologies.
I currently serve as the Vice President – Cognitive Solutions at South Asian Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka, where I work with organizations to design, secure, and optimize mission-critical IT environments for Sri Lanka and many other countries in South East Asia and Middle East.
Before this role, I worked as an IBM Power Systems Engineer at IBM Sri Lanka, where I gained hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructures built on IBM Power Systems and IBM i platforms. During this time, I worked closely with organizations that rely on IBM technology to run their most critical business workloads.
With experience spanning IBM Power Systems, IBM i, Red Hat platforms, and enterprise security technologies, my focus today is on helping organizations strengthen the security posture of their core systems and protect sensitive business data.
